By the President to the Commission the same were read and discussed. In the event it was ordered by the Commission that copies of the following selections from the said documents be added to the Appendix of their future Report, viz:
1. Private Despatch of 13th November 1843, Lord Stanley to Sir Henry Pottinger. Passages between Roman Numerals in pages 74-78, also page 80.
2. Enclosure No. 3 (in Private Dispatch of 15th November 1843) by Captain Sir Edward Belcher, R.N.
3. Extract from Enclosure No. 6 in Same Dispatch, marked between Roman Numerals at Page 129, being George Murray's Memorandum of 14 November 1842.
4. Lord Stanley's Despatch of 3rd January 1844.
5. The President reported to the Commission that he had received since their last meeting two letters from Mr. Outrobus, dated 4th and 6th March, 1856, the latter being in reply to one from the President of the 5th instant, written by him in answer to the first.
6. He also reported that he had not received any communication whatever from Mr. Pereira, who however was not in attendance any more than Mr. Outrobus; although this day had been specially fixed by arrangement with them, and to suit their convenience, and the day of their examination on behalf of those Marine Lot Holders who had rejected the proposals.
